About the Blog
When Crazy Meets Exhaustion was born in 2011 out of a work-at-home mom’s need for adult conversation. What started as a personal outlet quickly grew into an opportunity to word-vomit any and everything, in addition to working with like-minded writers and relevant brands.
WCME is the perfect representation of its creator and curator, covering topics such as family & faith, education, and funny served with a side of inappropriate. When Crazy Meets Exhaustion is a site for parents, teachers, and anyone who loves to laugh.
When I started this blog, I was a work-at-home-mom with two kids under two, and although I love my littles dearly, I needed more intellectual stimulation than singing along with Elmo and teaching a baby to wave bye-bye.
This is my attempt at re-acclimating myself into the world of full sentences and humor.
Now that I’m in the throes of this thing called parenthood, and I *almost* know what I’m doing, lemme tell ya: it is HILARIOUS! Kids really do say (and do…) the darndest things, and sharing them has connected parents from all around the world with a much-needed belly laugh. My stories of explosive diapers, droopy boobs, and otherwise “off-limits” tales have been met with a resounding, “Me, too!” from other Moms and Dads, and that’s pretty cool. We may be in the trenches, but at least we’re not alone.
If you’re still reading…
This page is dedicated to two of my heroes:
My Grandma, who always answered her phone, “Hiya!,” was a hard working, won’t-take-no-for-an-answer kind of lady. She was my biggest fan; you can read more about Gram here.
Tina Fey who is wicked smart, so friggin’ hilarious, and always lookin’ out for us girls. Had I never read her book, Bossy Pants, I don’t think I would have had the balls or inspiration to share my crazy with the world. Tina would have loved the hell outta my Gram.
Thanks for reading me!
