Glamping, you say?

By Stephanie Jankowski 5 Comments

This is a sponsored post; my family got the hook-up with a free weekend’s stay, and you can win the same!

On the heels of a successful April giveaway extravaganza, I have one last surprise for my local pals! Keep reading for a chance to win a free 2-night stay at Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest…

Kozy Rest

I’m not really what you’d consider a nature-lover, unless nature is a beach and I have a good book and cold drink on my person. I’ve only recently taken to hiking because okayfine nature that’s not surf and sand can be kinda pretty, and it’s something my kids actually enjoy doing with me. But if you told me to pitch a tent and be one with the mosquitoes, I’d check into the nearest Hilton then text you this .gif:

But when the fine people of Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest reached out and offered me an experience called “glamping,” (glamour + camping = glamping), I was intrigued. Since the campground is less than an hour drive from home, I saw their offer and raised them: I-dare-you-to-keep-my-kids-entertained. The Kozy Rest people were all pffffffft, we’ve got this.

You guys, they have weekend themes with kid-friendly stuff like slime-making and scavenger hunts and bean bag tournaments and crafts and ICE CREAM. I mean, my kids would go just for the ice cream, but holy activities Batman! I truly thought camping was a fire and a tent on the ground, but nope. Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest has a big ol’ swimming pool, bikes for rent, playgrounds, laser tag, a sandbox, an 18-hole mini-golf course, a jump zone, a gem mining station—and that’s not even close to the whole list! What I’m saying is there is something for kids of all ages. I’m thisclose to basically guaranteeing you a whine-free vacation.

Oh, and did I mention the gourmet coffee in the on-site store? The store where I’ll buy new toothbrushes because I’ve forgotten ours at home. See?! Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest caters to the adults, too. From award-winning restrooms (which is a thing at campgrounds–I’m learning!) to amazing cabins and yurts that’ll allow me to pretend I’m on an episode of Tiny House Hunters, I’m pretty excited about this glamping business.

So here’s what I need you to do: check out the campground’s Facebook page for updates and more great photos, then enter the giveaway below for your chance to win:

a free 2-night stay
accommodations for up to 6 people
Monday – Thursday
offer good between now and October 31, 2018

excluding holidays

I highly recommend grabbing a bunch of your pals and booking the same weekend for a big shindig together. It’s close to home, it’s affordable, and it’s a great time for everyone. And if you’re like me and can’t quite fathom a vacation without a beach, set up shop in the sandbox. Don’t forget the mini umbrellas for your drinks.

The giveaway winner will be chosen and contacted on Monday, May 14th, then has 24-hours to claim his/her prize. GOOD LUCK!
