Cyber school, or online learning, has the potential to provide a solid education to students who wouldn’t otherwise receive one. I’ve had students enrolled in my virtual classroom for reasons ranging from medical issues to a crazy busy schedule of training to become a professional ballerina! Sure, there are some students who opt for cyber school because they think it’s easier, but truly, it’s not.
Let me repeat that:
Online learning is not easier.
But it is more flexible and that is sometimes a worthwhile trade-off.
Not every student is meant to be a virtual learner, though; it takes a young person with a lot of motivation to succeed in the online classroom. What makes a student successful in cyber school? Below are a few essential traits:

It depends if he has these qualities…
1. Computer know-how: if you’re taking a class on your computer, it stands to reason you should know how to use the dang thing!
2. There is a definite learning curve to becoming a cyber student, and you’ve got to have the patience and determination to get past that curve in order to feel comfortable in the online classroom. If you give up at the first bump in the road, you’re doomed!
