What Happens to a Teacher’s Brain on Sunday Night

By Stephanie Jankowski Leave a Comment

I imagine there are other professionals who also hit the Sunday slump, sluggish and pathetic and praying for an.y.thing to extend their weekend. But I can’t imagine anyone more than teachers needing the extra time if for no other reason than to grade the papers they said they’d grade but didn’t.

What starts as an innocent ohmygoodness it’s Sunday already?! quickly takes a turn and becomes spit-balling viable options for calling off on Monday. No one ever disputes diarrhea…unless that’s what I said the last time I called in sick.

At any rate, that’s what my latest Bored Teachers piece is about: 10 Phases of Sunday Night Anxieties. Until there’s a day in between Sunday and Monday, click the title or HERE to be magically transported to the article where, together, we can laugh so we don’t cry.

Here’s to the new work week!
