I feel like I’ve blathered on about this subject ad nauseam, but now my traditional vs. online teaching quips are being put to good use: I am writing a short series for the educational site We Are Teachers that chronicles my personal journey through the transition from brick-and-mortar buildings to cyber classrooms. I plan to cover the pros and cons of online teaching (and learning!), answering frequently asked questions of cyber teachers, and not leaving out any gruesome detail like the time I was changing my baby’s explosive diaper while instructing a professional development session.
Oh, multi-tasking. You sound so good in theory.
If you’re interested in this sort of thing (education and teaching, not explosive diapers), I hope you’ll follow my series. You can find the first installment HERE, or by clicking the graphic below.
Do you have questions? Things you wonder about online education? TELL ME! I have nary a boundary when it comes to oversharing (duh), and would love to use your questions to help educate everyone. I am a teacher, after all.

Stephanie,
I enjoyed your article. I think it was just what I needed to hear.
I am VERY interested in finding out some information on how I may be able to teach from home as well.
Would you mind leading me in the right direction?
Thank you-

Tonya,
I’m going to be writing more about this, but for now, Google “teach at home opportunities” or “teaching from home” and the first two companies mentioned are the “heavy hitters!” 😉
