This One’s For the (Hydro)Dads!

By Stephanie Jankowski Leave a Comment

If we’re pals on social media, you’re likely familiar with #HusbandWTF. That’s my husband’s celebrity name…or whatever. He preferred this nomenclature to his full government name, which was pretty heads-up on his part because I’m not always–how do you say–appropriate? Classy? Professional? At any rate, I try really hard not to embarrass him because he’s a school teacher and we need his health insurance. Also because, despite having me like you kiddin’, me, Clark? WTF are you talking about?! every.single.day, he is the smartest, kindest, funniest, most passionate man I know.

Do you have a similar dude in your life? Let’s do something nice for him. Keep reading.

#HusbandWTF, like most parents, wears many hats in order to support his family and excel in his career, but he isn’t the only Dad hustling out there. Recall the man in your life who makes you laugh, changes the diapers, supports your dreams, works overtime–the man who makes your life better and contributes something invaluable to the universe.

Music is one such contribution, and Corey Taylor is one such man.

Singer.
Author.
Actor.
Father.

Lead lyricist and singer of the band Slipknot and Stone Sour, Taylor is all too familiar with donning many a hat.

And you will LOVE him on Twitter.

StoneSour

Stone Sour has sold over 2.7 million albums, has been nominated for three Grammys, and just released a new single, “St. Marie,” on their album HYDROGRAD. A very different sound than Slipknot music, Taylor describes “St. Marie,” as tapping into their “inner Eagles:” a country, acoustic rock track. Taylor gives a great interview to Billboard, and you can see the video and listen to the song below.

As a tribute to the amazing men we love, I’ve teamed up with Stone Sour to give one lucky fella

  • a signed photograph
  • a copy of HYDROGRAD (which I think they should rename HYDRO-DAD, but so far, no dice)
  • a $50 gift card to Best Buy OR Ticketmaster

The Rafflecopter below has a ton of options to enter, so it’s super easy to throw your hat in the ring. You can enter daily using some of the options, and the winner will be chosen this Friday–so get on it! GOOD LUCK!
