Since Schooled is my first book, I’ve had the opportunity to learn a lot in the process. Namely, when you think you’re done writing, you are not. I think anyone who creates likely feels the same way: it could always be a little better.
Or maybe that’s just my childhood talking: it’s good, Stephanie, but…
Sorry! Flashback! Anyhoo, something else I learned was that I have to essentially force myself into the lives of mere acquaintances and writers I admire and cross my fingers and toes they’ll accept an ARC (advance reader copy) of the book for the sole purpose of providing a blurb. A blurb is the nice things they say that we then use to market the book, print inside the book, and use to pat me on the back when I start having another flashback. Look at how much we’re learning today!
So, when incredible men and women, the very ones who write words I admire so much, agreed to not only read my book, but also take the time to “blurb” it, I was humbled. Grateful. Shocked. Ecstatic. Elated. #Blessed.
You knew it was coming.
I want to share some of the generous blurbs because I’m so very thankful for these people, but I’m also dang proud of my book. If any of these move you to order a copy of Schooled, then go forth, ORDER! (It’s officially out on December 17th, but you can pre-order today) And if you do, please know that I’m thanking you for your kindness and support.
