Did you know if you’re writing a bio for a “professional” gig, you’re supposed to write it in third person? Like this:
Stephanie loves words, hates math, and has a penchant for making people uncomfortable with her honesty. An English teacher by trade and a smack-talker by nature, Stephanie’s family often tires of listening to her speak. Fortunately, her blog,WhenCrazyMeetsExhaustion, affords an acceptable medium to verbally vomit all over the Interwebs. She has written other stuff for different sites, but no one cares. You should be her pal on Facebook and Twitter
But since I’m writing it for you lovelies, Imma do it my way:
I’m Stephanie, wife of one, mother of two (soon-to-be THREE!), and English teacher of many. The fam and I call Pennsylvania home and no, we’re not Amish. When I started this blog, I had two kids under two (they’re now 2 & 4 *sob*), and although I love my littles dearly, I needed more intellectual stimulation than singing the alphabet 23098423424 times or teaching a baby to wave.
You don’t have to be a parent or a fellow educator or even a woman to join my crazy. Unlike those a-holes who invented golf, I’m an equal opportunity kind of gal unless you’re closed-minded, super conservative, racist, sexist, ageist, homophobic, or anti-girl-power; we don’t judge ’round these parts.
It’s because of wonderful people like you, who take time out of your day to read what I have to say, that my third child (this blog, silly!) continues to grow. I appreciate it more than you know. I love comments and new pals, so leave me some love, subscribe by email, send chocolate or puppies, or find me at these places:
If you’re still reading…
This page is dedicated to two of my heroes:
My Grandma, who always answered her phone, “Hiya!,” was a hard working, won’t-take-no-for-an-answer kind of lady. She was my biggest fan; you can read more about Gram here.
Tina Fey who is wicked smart, so friggin’ hilarious, and always lookin’ out for us girls. Had I never read her book, Bossy Pants, I don’t think I would have had the balls or inspiration to share my crazy with the world. Tina would have loved the hell outta my Gram.
Thanks for reading me!
